From May 20th to 24th, 2025, the 17th Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition was held in Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia. This exhibition brought together over 860 enterprises from more than 20 countries and regions worldwide to jointly explore the latest developments and cooperation opportunities in the maritime and aerospace fields. Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd.(CGSTL) made a stunning appearance with its independently developed high-resolution remote sensing satellites and other products.
CGSTL's 0.5m high-resolution remote sensing satellite, exhibited this time, features autonomous mission planning, real-time data transmission, and onboard AI capabilities. Combined with rapid maneuvering control, it can achieve single-orbit multi-point target imaging and rapid information return. This satellite can acquire static push-scan images with a resolution better than 0.5m and a swath width of 15km, possessing high resolution, high integration, and intelligence. Another lightweight remote sensing satellite with an ultra-large swath width of 150km is the company's self-developed new-generation coverage satellite. It adopts "off-axis four-mirror" optical imaging technology and weighs only 200 kilograms. It can provide users with high-definition satellite imagery products with a swath width of 150km and a resolution of 0.5m, empowering the construction of space-based perception networks with disruptive performance that "one satellite is equivalent to ten satellites."
During the exhibition, the company's booth became one of the focuses of the event, attracting multinational military and political leaders and professional visitors, including Malaysian Defense Minister Mohamed Khaled Nordin and Kedah State Governor Mukri Mahathir, to stop and exchange views. They listened to detailed introductions of CGSTL's key satellite products and highly praised and affirmed the company's satellite development capabilities.
CGSTL deeply implements China's aerospace "going out" strategy. Through this international exhibition, it has significantly enhanced its global brand influence, further promoted aerospace cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, and injected new momentum into the upgrading of space information technology in Southeast Asian countries.
In recent years, CGSTL has made significant strides in tapping into overseas markets and has achieved remarkable results in international cooperation, collaborating with several countries successively. CGSTL plans to launch the "Initiative for International Cooperation in Commercial Aerospace" during the 4th Remote Sensing and Communication Innovation Conference, scheduled to take place in Changchun from June 12th to 13th. We will uphold the principles of open sharing and mutual benefit, standing shoulder to shoulder with everyone to embrace the new overseas "blue ocean" and contribute greater strength to the development of the commercial aerospace industry!
